Honeycomb Gravel Stabilizer grids are made entirely of recycled plastic. Each roll is 3.97' x 149' and has hexagonal cells that are 2 14" across and 1" tall. These grids' smaller cells allow for a more manageable stone size for infill using angular stones. The stones must be clean, washed, and uniform in size, ranging from 3/16" to 3/8". Colors available are black, grey, tan, and red. They are also effective at reducing erosion and can be installed on slopes of up to 10%.


Stakes are included using a smaller stone, your finished product will have a neat appearance as well as plenty of strength to walk and drive on. The Grids are ADA compliant as well.
They are available in four different colors, black, grey, tan and red.

The Installation Of The Emergency Access Lane At The University of Texas

In October 2010, an emergency access lane was installed at the University's Student Activities Center. The lane was designed for use as an active walkway for students while being aesthetically attractive to the community. Therefore, it was extremely important that an ADA compliant solution was put in place.

On June 6, 2011, the site was revisited when the UT Fire Prevention Services performed a test of the fire lane along with the Austin Fire Department. The test was a great success with the EZ Roll Gravel Paver supporting the weight of the truck that did not have lateral or vertical movement. During a visual inspection, the site showed that the pavers performed perfectly to the standard but also blended with the surrounding buildings and landscape. The installation met the University's requirements due to its functionality and natural appearance.

The Installation Of The Baruch Institute Gravel Road & Parking Lot

The Belle W. Baruch Institute for Marine and Coastal Sciences at the University of South Carolina operates a number of programs and labs for students and researchers of marine and coastal sciences. For decent parking, they agreed on adding a 13,000 sq. ft. lot for parking. Their primary concern for the project, would the design blend into the natural surroundings bordering the North Inlet of Winyah Bay? The correct answer was EZ Roll Gravel Paver which offered a strong, durable base to support traffic while still offering a nicer look than your average asphalt.

The Dallas Arboretum Parking Lot

The Dallas Arboretum is a nationally recognized botanical garden situated on 66 acres along the shores of White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. The Arboretum is an important facility that has created a significant level of tourism and income to the surrounding area. In 2011, more than 500,000 visitors from more than 50 countries have visited the Arboretum enjoying its beautiful scenery and excellent activities. Due to the additional activities, the Dallas Arboretum was going to need more parking to accommodate the increase in traffic to the park predicted over the next 10 years.

The new structure would have to blend into the surrounding area while dealing with stormwater runoff. Working with the City of Dallas, the team chose a natural, porous surface able to standup to heavy traffic.

After checking out many different products, they chose NDS EZ Roll Gravel Pavers for its strength, durability, and easy installment.

EZ Roll is a resin-based cellular reinforcement system housing stone in-fill, it's ADA compliant, supports heavy truck loads, preserves surface absorbency, and prevents rutting. The product is available in 4 x 150 foot rolls / 600 sq. ft., that is rolled out over compacted, permeable base layer, and filled with 3/8-inch angular clean stone. EZ Roll Gravel Paver is available in tan, gray, brick red, and black to blend with colored natural stone fill. During Phase One, the crew installed EZ Roll in a parking area covering approximately 75,000 sq. ft. The design team had to define the driving lanes from the parking stalls.

As NDS created, developed, and delivered the EZ Marker system which is a high-impact plastic marking dome that fastened securely into the paver cells and sat 1/4-inch above the grid. The NDS people worked closely with the design team and contractors during the project to guarantee proper technical and design support, on-time delivery, and installation.

A Senior Project Manager for GC Turner Construction said the NDS product and customer service were excellent. The EZ Roll Gravel Pavers are strong and absorbent that blends perfectly with the scenery. Its flexibility and design are required to ensure exceptional installation and superb performance.

Phase Two of the project is slated to begin in mid-November and include up to 110,000 sq. ft. of paving. The schedule will allow for construction to be completed by the first weekend of March 2013. This is when the annual Dallas Blooms occasion kicks in attracting around 200,000 visitors.

The Parking Lot For The Gastonia Readiness Center

As of 2006, the Dept of the Army began the first Army Force Modularity alterations. Many of the facilities have undergone reconstruction and upgrades. As for the Gastonia Readiness Center, the upgrade included the addition of two buildings for soldiers and equipment as well as a new parking lot for 40 vehicles. The requirements for the lot included daily use parking as well as serving as an emergency access lane. Also, it was important that the lot could support National Guard Military vehicles that would be parking and driving through the facility. EZ Roll Gravel Paver was chosen for its absorbent characteristics, its ability to support emergency vehicles, and excellent appearance.

MUD Or Municipal Utility District Park Walkway

In Houston, Municipal Utility Districts or MUDs, are areas designed into parks enclosing equipment such as lift stations and pumps sometimes located in residential locations. The design was to build a load-bearing, and all-weather access to lift stations while providing an attractive pedestrian pathway made of decomposed granite material for MUD #6.

The architect designed the area to include a series of DG walkways throughout the areas along with water features and neatly groomed turf. The ADA approved the walkways to allow access to pedestrians as well as for maintenance crews to bring their vehicles up to the equipment without leaving signs of their activities. The parking is hidden on a cul-de-sac in a well-established neighborhood. It has been reported that the installation will be completed in one year. The trucks can easily come in and do what has to be done then drive away. You will never know the paver was ever there.
